Due to collapse, this 4m high stone retaining wall needed re-building adjacent to a very busy road junction with several design issues. Hinko designed a construction method to work around existing services in the footpath, alongside the retaining wall whilst excavating to install a concrete foundation and a reinforced concrete supporting slab.
The retaining wall was rebuilt in stages with minimal disruption to the public footpath, and, a new kerb line and footpath were installed to complete the works.
The new wall was successfully delivered and thought highly of within Bradford Council and local residents.
